Nick Small is the self-proclaimed “Head Physio” in our Picton clinic. He graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree in 2018 and has gained a lot of hands on experience as our head sports trainer in his last year of university working with the Oaks Rugby League and Camden Rugby Union clubs.
Nick is very keen on working with the sporting population and is currently the head Physio for the Oaks Tigers Senior Rugby League helping them toward a long-awaited Group 6 premiership.
In the clinic, he enjoys using his skills to help people understand their condition and help people move better in order to feel better. He uses manual therapy, education and exercise prescription to assist his patients in achieving their goals. Being a big kid himself, he does have a passion for working alongside the paediatric members of our community and getting them back to their favourite activities.
In a previous life Nick was once an Elite level Amateur Boxer but has since hung up the gloves and laced up the AFL footy boots to play with Camden Cats in Harrington Park. If you don’t catch him down there kicking with two left feet he’ll most likely be in the gym, out hiking in the forest or socialising with friends. He’s never been one to sit in the one place for too long, move it or loose is his theory!
If you or someone you know/care for have an injury, an ongoing niggle or just want help with technique for certain movements book in to see Nick!
P.S Bring your best jokes along, he loves a laugh.
