What's your why?

I became a physiotherapist because I've always had a fascination with the human body and how it works. I love solving problems, and being a huge extrovert I enjoy working with people. For me, physio is the perfect combination of these two areas. At Movement Therapy I'm constantly pushed to keep learning and expanding my knowledge, incorporating a holistic approach pulled from multiple different senior practitioners.

Movement Therapy — Your initial consultation

Your first session is a 60-minute consultation designed to give you clarity on what’s going on, help you feel better, and provide a clear plan for moving forward. The focus is on understanding your issue thoroughly and making progress from day one.

In your initial consultation, you can expect:

• a clear explanation of what’s contributing to your issue

• treatment on the day to reduce pain and improve movement

• targeted mobility, strength, or control work where it’s actually needed

• guidance on what to do between sessions and how to progress

• a plan built around what you want to get back to

We can help you settle things down quickly, but we also look beyond the symptoms. If you want to fix the issue properly and stop it from coming back, we’ll guide you through that as well.

At its core, what we do is help people get back to doing what they can’t currently do. For some, that means getting out of pain. For others, it means walking comfortably, getting back to work, returning to the gym or sport, managing a long-term condition better, or moving through day-to-day life with more confidence.

We work across a wide range of issues, from injuries and musculoskeletal pain to neurological conditions, post-surgical rehab, and lifestyle-related health concerns where movement, strength, and function all play an important role.

Whether you’ve been given a diagnosis like bursitis, a tendon injury, osteoarthritis, or disc herniation, or you’re just not sure what’s going on, we’ll help you make sense of it and guide you on what to do next.

In most cases, we’ll be able to give you a clear direction and diagnosis straight away. If things are more complex, we’ll explain what we know, what we need to work through, and what the plan is from there.

You’ll leave your first session knowing what’s going on, what needs to change, and what the next steps look like.

Not sure who to book with?

That’s completely fine. You don’t need a referral to get started, and you don’t need to have it all figured out before booking.

If you’re unsure, just book a time that suits you. If you book online, our team will contact you shortly after to make sure you’re with the right person. If you call, we’ll guide you then. All of our therapists can help with a wide range of issues, and if something more specific is needed, we’ll help direct you to the therapist best suited to your situation.

What people usually come in for

Most people don’t come in with a diagnosis; they just know something isn’t right.

Generally, it’s because:

• Pain is stopping them from doing what they need or enjoy

• Something feels off and isn’t settling

• They’re getting back into activity, and something is holding them back

• Their day-to-day comfort or quality of life is affected

• They’ve had an injury, setback, or surgery and need a plan

• They want help managing a condition through movement

Sometimes it’s clear what’s going on, sometimes it’s not. Either way, working that out and giving you a clear plan is part of the process.

Payment options

You can book in and pay privately, and if you have private health cover, you can claim on the spot.

We also work with Medicare, CTP, Workers Compensation, NDIS, and DVA regularly, so if any of those apply to you, our admin team will guide you through it and help take care of the process.

If you book online, we’ll cover this in your welcome call. If you book over the phone, we can talk it through with you then.
