Musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries and concussion, lower back pain

What's your why?

I believe good health is something that everyone should enjoy. I believe that modern medicine and sanitation has done an incredible job at adding years to our lives through infection mitigation and lifesaving surgeries. I believe the role of the progressive health care provider is therefore to enhance quality of life. To add more life to those years as it were. My experience over the years has taught me that for the most part, people are interested in making good choices for their health. However, for many reasons, many don't have good information on what that looks like for their particular context, and/or they struggle to put in place strategies that are likely to succeed in the face of challenging demands of a modern lifestyle. In this way, I have seen my role evolve from the "man with the magic hands" that can make the pain go away, to the coach that is by your side helping you be the master of your own destiny. The health journey is one that we are all on. As Confucius says, a healthy man wants a thousand things; a sick man wants only one. Being part of this universally appreciated journey as a guide and support for people is a real joy for me and an absolute honour. It ain't work if you love what you do.

What's your guilty pleasure when you have free time?

Surfing. I'm not sure if I feel as guilty as perhaps I should, but if I've got free time, that's where you'll find me.

The greatest movie of the last 50 years is?

The Life of Brian (just sneaks in under 50 years) and Spirited Away.

What does the world need more of to be a better place?

Dogs. And cow bell.

Favourite type of music?

I love music. Hard to pick a fave. But... there's rarely an occasion I can't listen to Trip-Hop.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

Chocolate eclairs - haha. Not sure how long I'd last on that though. Might be a short life.

If you were marooned on a tropical island, which two staff members would you want with you and why?

Sarah - The woman with a plan! She'd definitely figure out how to find help and how to make life run smoothly until we did and would be pretty good competition for some beach volley-coconut too. D'athy - Cool, calm and collected. Would totally be up for wasting precious time and resources to fashion a surfboard and go surfing. Recon he could probably split a coconut with his bare hands too.
